At this Park Lane hotel in London, something wasn't quite right.
The eggs were tasteless and we guessed they were powdered egg. In fact the entire breakfast service was appalling. The eggs were so bad we mentioned it to the staff who advised no-one had ever mentioned it before.
The chef came out, was argumentative and said people had commented before how great the eggs were!!.... Really ?

We walked round the restaurant to establish if this was true. The outcome was staggering. Everyone we spoke to told us how bad the eggs were, in fact how bad the whole breakfast was. The staff and chef were in denial as to the shocking food they were serving.
The pictures tell the whole story. Restaurant staff were in denial, Kitchen staff were in denial. Management were in denial. No-one wanted to accept that the food they were cooking and serving in a 5 star hotel was totally unacceptable.
Moral to the story... don't argue with Guests about how good you 'think' your food is when the evidence tells another story - a restaurant full of plates with uneaten food.
